Garroorigang - Guided Tours

GUIDED TOURS

Garroorigang is open to the public daily except on Sunday mornings and on Wednesdays. Visiting hours are from10.00 to12.30 and from 2.00 to 4.30 pm (other times by arrangement).

Guided tours are provided by a member of the family who will explain the history of the homestead and the lives of its past and present owners.

Group tours, which can include morning or afternoon tea, are welcome but should be booked in advance.

Bookings are not required for individual visitors during open hours though if travelling from outside the district it is best to phone ahead if possible.

The homestead is set in picturesque grounds where visitors to the house may picnic in summer months.

There is ample safe parking in the grounds of the homestead, including easy access and parking for coaches. There is access for disabled persons but toilet facilities are limited. Tours last approximately 45 minutes to one hour and specialised visits can be arranged on request. Photos for personal use are permitted.

There is a fee for entrance to the house and grounds (currently $10 per person) which assists with ongoing conservation and preservation of the homestead and its contents. For details please Contact Us.
